Finding beauty in the journey—one quiet Sunday morning at a time.
Every once in a while, it’s worth looking back to appreciate how far we’ve come.
I came across this video today while unpacking boxes in our new Las Vegas home. At the time, I was about 10 pounds away from losing my first 100 pounds. Today, I’m 120 pounds lighter.
Back then, I was learning to slow down and find beauty in ordinary moments. A quiet Sunday morning. Two faithful dogs. A simple meal. One healthy choice after another.
Looking back, I realize the journey was never just about the number on the scale. It was about becoming someone who could appreciate the life I was building one day at a time.
That lesson has stayed with me.
Over the past month, we’ve packed up an entire household, said goodbye to our Seattle home after many wonderful years, and settled into Las Vegas. We’ve only been here two weeks, but it already feels like a new chapter is beginning.
As we prepare to launch the new West Valley Pulse website this week, I’ll be sharing a few favorite moments from the archives, along with what I’ve learned since they were first published.
Because stories, much like people, continue to grow.
And that’s really the heartbeat of West Valley Pulse.
Every business has a journey.
Every neighborhood has a story.
Every person has a chapter worth telling.
Sometimes the best stories deserve a second look.
One Community. Many Voices. One Pulse.
